"This was not written by me, but it touched me deeply…
Sunday is coming.

“He received 39 stripes because 40 was known to kill a man. They wanted him alive. They held handfuls of his beard, and hair and pulled it out by the roots. They wanted him alive. They kicked, punched, and spit on him for hours. Until there wasn't a single spot on his body not covered in blood. They wanted him alive.

They shoved a crown of thorns down on his head so harshly it stuck in his skin. They wanted him alive. After hours of being beaten, mocked, whipped, flogged, and tortured they made him walk with a cross. They made him carry it. A rough piece of wood with splinters digging into fresh wounds. They wanted him alive.

They wanted him to feel every ounce of pain they could bring. He had to feel it in order to heal us. Crucifixion was historically one of the cruelest most tortured deaths a human could face. Hours upon hours of torture. Torture most of us can not mentally think of because the cruelty isn't normal. It isn't something our minds can comprehend. We celebrate Easter with pastel colors, happy children hunting eggs, and chocolate. Truth is there was absolutely nothing happy about the day Jesus died. It was cruel, bloody, and nasty.

He could have stopped all of it. He could have called every angel in heaven to demolish every person standing and shouting "Crucify Him!" He didn't. He knew in order to have a Sunday you have to have a Friday. He knew in order to have joy you have to carry your cross. He felt everything that day. He felt how your heart broke wide open when you had to watch your baby die. He felt how heavy your life was when you were staring down the barrel of a gun wondering if the man you called husband was going to shoot you. He carried the weight of the burden you have felt since your spouse died, and life just doesn't seem right since.

On that cross he held the rapist and murderers, the sinner and the saint. He leveled every playing field and said ALL of you are worth it. He knew he had to carry the cross. He never promised the cross you carry in this life would not be heavy. His wasn't. His promise is that Sunday is coming.

No matter how heavy Friday is. Financially, emotionally, mentally, or physically. Friday is heavy. That cross is weighing you down and you are about to crumble under its weight. His promise was simply this. He won't make you carry it alone. What kind of king would step down from his throne for this?

Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God did. For you. He did every bit of it for you and me. Oh yes, it is heavy. So heavy sometimes you do not think you can take one more step. But look up, because Sunday is coming.”-Dr. Kat Lindley's post on X-platform (2024).

"LEARN TO HEAR FROM GOD AND ALSO OBEY GOD."

"In Jeremiah 32:5-9, there was a word concerning buying land or a field there.

You can’t just buy any land or property. Landa is spiritual. Pray very well, friends.

Our next-door neighbors in Nigeria, a couple, bought lands in 1982 not knowing people were fighting over the land. The couple lost their lives one after the other within 6 months of buying the land. They were hit by a mysterious illness.

I once bought some lands in Nigeria years ago and a few months later, I heard the Lord say to me clearly “I did not send you there”.

I told the person who helped me to buy the land to sell the land immediately which he did. I ran for my dear life.

In 1999, I bought a ticket to travel to Nigeria. I was about to cross a major road in North London when I heard the Lord say “I did not send you to Nigeria. Whatever happens to you will be your fault”. I canceled the flight immediately.

I have been traveling to Nigeria after that every year since the year 2000. That journey that you want to make can wait. If the One that will protect you on the journey is against you, your life is not safe. Having a passport and a ticket is not a guarantee of safety.

As a pastor, I wanted to bring a prominent pastor to our church in 2009. The Lord said to me, “I don’t want you to move with him. He is too expensive”. I canceled the invitation immediately. We would have used part of our building funds to bring him and wasted a lot of money. He was late a few years later.

Learn to hear from God and Learn to obey God. It will save you from unnecessary troubles.

Have a great week ahead!"-Dele Olawanle's post on X-platform (2024).

Debate of the day!
"You are an usher in the church. On Sunday morning, before the arrival of the pastor, a stranger found you in the church and gave you a packet of sugar for the pastor and #100,000 for yourself. When the pastor arrived and you briefed him. He refused to believe you.* *He said it was inconceivable that someone would donate a simple packet of sugar to him, (the pastor )and you #100,000 So He collected the* money and gave you the packet of sugar. Getting home, you unsealed the nylon of the sugar and tore the packet. You realized that it did not contain sugar as envisaged(as you thought) but rather a well counted sum of two million dollars (#2,000,000). Now,as a Believer and God Fearing Member. What will you do?

Be honest."-Anonymous author.

Inspirational Quotes From Social Media, #66.

220.
THERE IS NO TEACHERS DAY IN JAPAN AND THERE IS NO NEED FOR IT
In Japan , there is no Teacher's Day .
One day, I asked my Japanese colleague,  Teacher Yamamota:- How do you celebrate Teacher's Day in Japan?
Surprised by my question , he replied :- We don't have Teacher's Day .
When I heard his reply , I was not sure whether I should believe him or not.  A thought passed through my mind : " Why a country , which is so advanced in economy,  sciences and technology, is so disrespectful towards teachers and their work ?
Once,  after work,  Yamamota invited me to his house . We took the metro since it was far away . It was the evening  peak  hour, and the wagons in the metro train were overcrowded . I managed to find a space to stand, holding tightly the overhead rail. Suddenly, the elderly man who was seated beside me offered me his seat.  Not understanding this respectful behaviour of an elderly man , I declined,  but he was persistent, and I was forced to sit . Once we were out of the metro , I asked Yamamota to explain what exactly the whitebeard old man did. Yamamota smiled and pointed towards the tag of teacher I was wearing and said :
"The old man has seen the tag of a teacher on you and as a sign of respect towards your status, offered you his seat."
Since I was visiting Yamamota for the first time, I felt uncomfortable going there with empty hands so I decided to buy a gift . I shared my thoughts with Yamamota,  he supported the idea and said that little further, there is a shop for teachers , where one can purchase goods at reduced prices.  Once again , I couldn't hold my emotions :- Privileges are offered only to teachers ? I asked .
Confirming my words , Yamamota said:
- In Japan,  teaching is the most respected profession and the teacher is the most respected person.  The Japanese entrepreneurs are very happy when teachers come to their shops,  they consider it an honour .
During my stay in Japan,  I've observed multiple times the utmost respect of the Japanese towards teachers. They have special seats allocated for them in metro , there are special shops for them , teachers there don't line up in queue for tickets for whatever type of transport.  That's why the Japanese teachers don't need a special day , when every day in their life is a celebration.
Spread this story to everyone. Let the society grow to appreciate the teachers to this level . Retell this story to your colleagues so that their chests swell with pride ..

"She was a mathematics teacher in Mallapuram, Kerala, India. One day, one of her students saw her begging near a train station but did not recognize her very well. later, the student realized it was his class teacher.
Her student asked her what she was doing at the railway station in such a situation, she said, "After I retired my children left me, I became homeless since then, so I found myself begging in front of the railway station. "
The crying student brought her home and gave her good clothes, food, and planned her accommodation, contacting all the educated schoolmates. They did amazing things, moved her to a better place to live and changed her life forever.
Lessons:
Her children left her, but not the children she taught. Love other children as you love your own, because no one knows what tomorrow may bring."-Anonymous author.

"Do not drink cold drink after eating mango!  Some travelers had gone to Chandigarh for sightseeing.  They immediately drank cold drink after eating mango.  They started feeling restless, and they all started fainting. They were all admitted to the hospital where they were declared and brought dead.  The doctor said that after eating mango, do not drink any cold drink or soft drink.  Citric acid in mango and carbonic acid in cold drink mixed together to produce poison in the body.  Please forward this message to all your loved ones.  Presently, the mango season has started."-Anonymous author.

"GOD GAVE ME MONEY BUT I REFUSED  || BRO GBILE AKANNI"
"I was the most qualified at the interview. Several of the panelists already had a good report of me from their wives whom I had taught the "Physics of Home Economics" course in my service year. They even affirmed,
"Mr. Akaani, you have got the job. We actually need you and we want you. Our wives appreciate you teaching them physics."
I waited in vain for the letter of appointment to come. Others were appointed but not me. I was grossly disappointed because I had no "plan B." I had no other place to look unto except the Lord who has led me so clearly over the years and particularly to this point.
I was still waiting when all the money I had on me finished and all my toiletries were exhausted. I was left with only 30 kobo (the least denomination in the Nigerian currency, which is actually less than a cent or penny).
I was so frustrated to the point that I began to consider packing my baggage to relocate back to Ibadan where several disciples were waiting for me to return. As I prayed one afternoon, I told God,
"Is it because I have no transport fare to go anywhere that you are tying my life down in this place?"
Right away, God mobilized and moved a brother, who was working in a bank in town to come during his break time to bring me the transport fare. He walked into my room, while I was still on my knees and said,
"Bro. Gbile, the Lord told me to bring this money to you urgently and it is for the journey you are about to make. I need to rush back to my desk in the bank."
I trembled at what the Lord did and was afraid to touch the money or collect it from the brother, seeing it was a sponsorship for me to go out of the will of God. I begged the brother to hold on to the money as I was not ready to make any journey again.
As the brother left, I turned to the Lord in tears asking Him to forgive me. Though I had nothing to eat, I would not go away from His perfect will for my life. Then God began to speak again to me.
"It is not for lack of funds that I am keeping you here. If you want to go, you are free to go.
But anywhere you go, whatever you are doing, preaching, singing or teaching, it will be recorded in your secret file before Me, 'Gbile was posted to serve Me in Benue State but he has absconded.'
You may have all the money as you wish, but you will not have My Presence."

"CELEBRATING THE 115TH POSTHUMOUS BIRTHDAY OF CHIEF OBAFEMI OYENIYI IYANDA AWOLOWO, GCFR"
"Taking few excerpts from some of his literary works (Books) as below. No one should be left in doubt that the current challenges confronting Nigeria:- Insecurity; Banditry; Hunger; High profile political corruption; Profligacy and Maladministration, are rooted in the Feudal system and lackadaisical attitude by the first generation of our political leaders to mass education.
Listen to Awo:
1. “As for me, I don’t think we should always blame a President’s lapses on his advisers. It is the duty of a President, as an educated and intelligent man, to know what advice is good or bad for his people. If he considers the advice just and of public good, he will take it as he himself would have calculated the consequences of such an action."
"What is more, he should be able to use his own discretion as Mr. President. If he is in doubt, he calls experts from the universities where scholars must have done research about similar cases with particular consequences.”
2. “As the Premier of the Western Region I chose my ministers on merit and because of their education, standard and discipline. Every minister or adviser and top civil servant had to do his homework properly before bringing anything to a cabinet meeting or any other important meeting where it will be subjected to rigorous debate."
"Where there are grey areas, expert opinion would be sought for the purpose of objectivity. As the Premier, I had to follow all procedures vigorously, and meticulously, always relating our decisions and actions to the public good…
It is because of this service to the public that I often maintained that the office of the President or Prime Minister is not for pleasure, Unfortunately, in Nigeria, it looks as if the office of the President, Minister, Adviser is for pleasure, like dining and wining and carousing with women of easy virtue both at home and at abroad.”
3. “I would like to be remembered for helping to build a strong and united multi-ethnic state. I want to be remembered for creating the basis for an irreversible revolution in education, in the provision of social justice in Nigeria. I have not yet succeeded in all these. But I have set a pattern which no other Nigerian can ignore.”
4. ”In 1959, during the election that was to usher in independence in 1960, I embarked on an elaborate campaign in the North. I was using helicopter to campaign in every nook and corner of the North. The most important aspect of the campaign of the Action Group was free education, life more abundant for the generality of the people etc, etc. Our manifesto was centred on the development of man."
"We worked so hard that the Sardauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello, was forced to campaign, a thing he was never used to. My hope at that time was to liberate the North from illiteracy, ignorance and the ranka dede mentality. If I had won the election, I would have put a lot of money educating the North in order to bridge the educational gap between that region and the Western and Eastern Regions. This was because I saw the lack of education as a stumbling block against political enlightenment of the whole region."
“Because they were not educated the voters could not make up their own choices. Rather, the innocent people of the North had to be dictated to by Emirs and the elites who feed them on a regular basis whereas in the Western Region, people could argue with their Obas, could read manifestos and make an independent choice which party and which politicians to vote for."
"Unfortunately, all my efforts to liberate the North from the cruel jaws of the oligarchy were frustrated by those who prefer the status quo to a new dawn of educational advancement. You can see that even now, the educational gap between the North and South is increasing by leaps and bounds. All the talk about catching up is non-sense…how can you catch up with somebody who is running while you are crawling?”
5. “But I think that the sooner than later the leaders of the North will see the repercussion of their selfishness and carelessness in their attitude towards Western education. But the time will not be too late, and if they don’t regret it or blame themselves for lack of foresight, the Northern youth may ask their leaders some questions when they see the rate of development that goes with education in many parts of Southern Nigeria."
"They may then wonder whether it was in their stars or in the selfishness, carelessness and lack of foresight of their leaders. If I had been given the chance in 1959 or 1979. I would have changed the fortunes of the North as a place that can be compared favourably with the South in terms of educational, social and economic developments.”
6. “It is generally agreed, and in any case the fact stares us in the face that in spite of her enormous economic potentialities, Nigeria is one of the poorest and most underdeveloped countries of the world. She had been in this shameful position for very many years. We must not allow her to remain this way for much longer."
"All those who share the view that rapid development of Nigeria by Nigerians for Nigerians is a matter of necessity must agree to do first thing first, no matter to which political party they may belong. That First Thing is the Full Development and Full Employment of Every Nigerian Citizen.”
7. "Do not enjoy while in office what you cannot afford while out of office”.
8. “It will be seen, therefore, that the power to think clearly, correctly, and scientifically, is the greatest of all the powers that a man can possess.”
Chief Obafemi Awolowo was described as, "The Best President Nigeria Never Had" (Odumegwu Ojukwu, 1987)

"GOD KNOWS BETTER"
"Between 1986 - 1989, I tried to join the Nigerian Army. Thrice I was rejected. I was suicidal.
My boss where I was working in Kaduna then told me that life is not always the way one wants it and that I will be grateful I didn’t join the army tomorrow.
He was a former soldier who fought in the Nigerian Civil War. He said his friends were doing everything to go to the battlefront and were sad that they were being left in the depot to supply ammunition to those on the war front. He said they bribed their way to go to the battlefront and one by one they died.
He who was abandoned at the depot survived the war and became a billionaire. Two weeks ago, I got a sister on X to help me trace my boss in Kaduna and even though he is 82 now, his company is still running, his eldest son has taken over and he is just overseeing the operations.
At that time, I thought he was mad to tell me that. I did not want to do anything else apart from being a soldier.
Today, I am a very happy man because I did not join the army.
If God grants your present push for that thing you want to achieve, you may not live long. Wait on the Lord and let his will be done in your life. A lot of young people are dying young because they can’t wait. Wait!
Do not say it is either what you want to do or nothing else. You are being childish like I was.

4. Your Electric Motor malfunction light goes on, so you drive up to what looks like a Car Wash, and your Car is towed through while you have a Cup of Coffee and out comes your Car with a New Electric Motor!
5. Petrol pumps will go away.
6. Street Corners will have meters that dispense electricity.  Companies will Install Electrical Recharging Stations; in fact, they’ve already started in the developed world.
7. Smart Major Auto Manufacturers have already designated money to start building new plants that only build electric cars.
8. Coal Industries will go away. Gasoline/Oil Companies will go away.  Drilling for oil will stop. So say goodbye to OPEC! The Middle East is in trouble.
9. Homes will produce and store more electrical energy during the day, and then they use and will sell it back to the grid. The Grid stores it and dispenses it to industries that are high electricity users. Has anybody seen the Tesla Roof?
10. A baby of today will only see Personal Cars in Museums. The FUTURE is approaching faster than most of us can handle.
11. In 1998, Kodak had 170,000 Em- ployees and sold 85% of all Photo Paper Worldwide. Within just a few years, their Business Model disappeared, and they went bankrupt. Who would have thought of that ever happening?
12. What happened to Kodak and Polaroid will happen to a lot of industries in the next  5-10 years … and most people don't see it coming.
13. Did you think in 1998 that 3 years later, you would never take pictures on Film again? With today’s Smart Phones, who even has a camera these days?
14. Yet Digital Cameras were invented in 1975. The first ones only had  10,000 pixels but followed Moore's Law.  So, as with all Exponential Technologies, it was a disappointment for a time before it became way Superior and became Mainstream in only a few short years.
15. It will now happen again (but much faster) with artificial intelligence, health, autonomous and electric cars, education, 3D printing, agriculture, and jobs.
16. Forget the book, “Future Shock”, welcome to the 4th Industrial Revolution.
17. Software has disrupted and will continue to disrupt most Traditional Industries in the next 5-10 years.
18. UBER is just a Software Tool, they don't own any Cars, and are now  the biggest taxi company in the world! Ask any taxi driver if they saw that coming.
19. Airbnb is now the biggest Hotel Company in the World, although they don't own any Properties. Ask Hilton Hotels if they saw that coming.
20. Artificial Intelligence: Computers become exponentially better in understanding the world. This year, a computer beat the best Go-Player in the world, 10 years earlier than expected.
21. In the USA, young lawyers already don't get jobs. Because of  IBM's Watson, you can get legal advice (so far for right now, the basic stuff) within seconds, with 90% accuracy compared with 70% accuracy when done by Humans. So, if you study law, stop immediately. There will be 90% fewer lawyers in the future (what a thought!) only Omniscient Specialists will remain.
22. Watson already helps Nurses diagnosing Cancer, its 4 times more accurate than human nurses.
23. Facebook now has a Pattern Recognition Software that can recognize faces better than humans. In 2030, computers will become more intelligent than humans.
24. Autonomous Cars: In 2018, the first Self-Driving Cars are already here. In the next 2 years, the entire industry will start to be disrupted. You won't want to own a car anymore as you will call a car with your phone. It will show up at your location and drive you to your destination.
25. You will not need to park it. You will only pay for the driven distance, and you can be productive while driving. The very young children of today will never get a driver's license and will never own a car.
26. This will change our Cities because we will need 90-95% fewer cars. We can transform former parking spaces into green parks.
27. About 1.2 million people die each year in car accidents worldwide, including distracted or drunk driving. We now have one accident every 60,000 miles; with autonomous driving that will drop to 1 accident in 6 million miles. That will save a million lives plus worldwide each year.
28. Most Traditional Car Companies will doubtless become bankrupt. They will try the evolutionary approach and just build a better car, while Tech Companies (Tesla, Apple, Google) will do the Revolutionary Approach and build a Computer on Wheels.
29. Look at what Volvo is doing right now; no more Internal Combustion Engines in their Vehicles starting with 2019 Models, using all electric or hybrid only, with the intent of phasing out Hybrid Models.
30. Many Engineers from Volkswagen and Audi  are completely terrified of Tesla, and they should be. Look at all the companies offering all electric vehicles. That was unheard of, only a few years ago.
31. Insurance Companies will have massive trouble because, without accidents, the costs will become cheaper. Their Car Insurance Business Model will disappear.
32. Real estate will change. If you can work while you commute, people will abandon their towers to move far away to more beautiful, affordable neighborhoods.
33. Electric cars will become mainstream in about 2030. Cities will be less noisy because all new cars will run on electricity.
34. Cities will have much Cleaner Air as well.
35. Electricity will become Incredibly Cheap and Clean.
36. Solar Production has been on an exponential curve for 30 years, but you can now see the burgeoning impact.  And it’s just getting ramped up.
37. Fossil Energy Companies are desperately trying to limit access to the grid to prevent competition from Home Solar Installations, but that simply can not continue - Technology will take care of that strategy.
38. Health:  The Tricorder X Price will be announced this year. There are companies who will build a medical device (called the "Tricorder" from Star Trek) that works with your phone, which takes your retina scan, your blood sample, and you breath into it.  It then analyses 54 Bio-Markers that will identify nearly any disease.
There are dozens of phone apps out there right now for Health Purposes.

"I was supposed to graduate with a First-Class but made 2:1(second class upper) because a lecturer vowed that I can't be the best student ever in Computer Science Department.
What was my offence?
He said I was so insolent to publicly correct a wrong notion he postulated in class during one of his lectures, also, since he didn't graduate with a First Class then nobody else would be in the department as long as he is alive.
This happened about 12 years ago.
He was the head of the conspiracy that marked me down in my final year...
I was very depressed the day I collected my call-up letter to the National Youth Service Corps and saw I was posted to Kebbi one of the educationally less developed states in the country.
Going out of the school, I met Dr. Irukefe at the walkway and he said " I heard about your posting."
He laughed and continued " It doesn't cost much to give your details to someone at NYSC, I want to see how your computer knowledge will be useful in a state where you can count the number of computers, you felt you know something l will see how you will make it in this profession. Best of Luck". And he walked away.
I was stunned because I wanted to serve in Lagos, so this was how I got Kebbi.
Later, a reliable source told me he said that I should thank my stars that he didn't make me have an extra year in school.
I didn't know the hatred was so much.
I was diligent in my studies because of my poor background, my parent struggled to send me to school.
I went to the NYSC camp in Dakingari, very discouraged because I wanted to serve in Lagos where an IT firm had promised to pay me 20,000 Naira apart from my NYSC allowance.
Three days to the end of the camp, a man came asking if there is anyone who can repair a Laptop computer. I volunteered and successfully repaired it. He said his thanks, collected my phone number, and left. He didn't even pay me for my effort.
I thought I was going to teach in a school, When I received my placement letter, I was shocked that I was posted to the office of the Senator representing one of the constituencies in the state.
I was astonished. More amazed, when my phone rang about an hour and the man who came with the faulty Laptop was waiting for me in a Jeep.
He drove me to meet the senator, who thanked me profusely for saving his laptop because it contained bills that he wanted to sponsor at the Senate for his constituency.
The Senator offered me a job as his Personal Assistant and computer instructor at the computer institute he had set up in the state. He laid down his plans on how he wanted young students in his constituency to be computer literate and I am to be the coordinator.
My salary was over 80,000 Naira, with a furnished apartment, and medical allowance. I had access to his cars, and the first contract I executed made me a millionaire because I was asked to procure laptops and accessories for all the senior civil servants in the state ministries.
His company was given the contract.
It was from this state that I was able to secure a scholarship to study after three years of working with my principal after NYSC. He didn't want me to go because the computer school was a success story but he facilitated my comfortable arrival in the United States.
All this happened within 12 years.
I have a Ph.D. in Forensic and Information Technology.
Not quite a long I was speaking at the conference of World Forensic Scientists in Japan. After delivering my lecture, there was a standing ovation from the participants all over the world.
Among them was my old-time lecturer, after the proceeding, I walked up and greeted him, he acted like he couldn't recall who I was so I reminded his exact words which were "let me see how you will make it in this profession. I am the boy you said those words to.
He was astonished.
I advised, "try to be a mentor to the young students, you don't know who and what they will become."
"Not only have I made it from this profession but internationally am recognized, you must have been seeing my publications, It was I who paid $5500 to sponsor your trip for this conference under the auspices of GRAND Inc. I own the company.
"Sir, yearly you will be invited, to speak at a conference like this, it's my way of saying thank you for influencing my posting to Kebbi state that particular year. If you had not done it I would not have made it to where I am today. You meant evil but God turn it into good.
"I hope your hotel room (Room 312) has a nice view of Tokyo?"
He stood rooted to the spot, he was too dazed to speak as I was taken away to meet other professionals in the tech business.
He later sent a mail of apology
when ASUU went on strike, I was informed he was boasting at the department in Nigeria that he is the only lecturer in Africa, who was invited to participate at the GRAND Inc World Conference and subsequently he would be one of the speakers. I guess a leopard never changes its spot.
I am glad he is not poor but he didn't meet me where he left me 12 years ago.
No matter what anyone does to you, continue to be hardworking, a man's gift one day will always make a way for him.
Have a great weekend ahead!❤️"

*GUIDELINES FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR SENIORS* .

PLEASE READ AND PASS ON TO OTHER ELDERLY GROUPINGS.
THIS IS A LETTER FROM A FORMER GERIATRIC HOSPITAL DIRECTOR TO ALL THE ELDERLY (60-100 YEARS AND ABOVE.)
"HE SAID:
* I don't advocate the determination of bone density anymore, because the elderly will definitely have osteoporosis, and with the increase of age, the degree of osteoporosis will become more and more serious, and the risk of fracture is bound to get bigger.
* There is a formula -
- The risk of fracture = external damage force/ bone density.
* The elderly are prone to fractures because the denominator value (bone density) is getting smaller and smaller, so the risk of fractures will definitely increase.
* Therefore, the most important measure for the elderly to prevent fractures is to do everything possible to prevent accidental injuries.
HOW TO REDUCE ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE?
* There are seven characters of the so-called secret that I summed up, which is:
* “Be careful, be careful, be careful again"!
* SPECIFIC MEASURES INCLUDE:
- Never stand on a chair or stool to get something, even a low stool.
- Try not to go out on rainy days.
- Take special care when bathing or using the toilet, to prevent slipping.
- THE MOST IMPORTANT, ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN:
 - DON'T WEAR UNDERWEAR IN THE BATHROOM, TAKE SUPPORT OF A WALL OR OTHER THINGS... The commonest cause of slipping and fracture of hip joint... After the bath, come back to your changing room. Sit comfortably on either a chair or on your bed and then put on underwear.
* While going to the toilet, ensure that the bathroom floor is dry and not slippery. Use only the comod.. but at the same time fix a handrest to hold it while getting upright from the comod sit...  same is true while taking a bath sitting on a bath stool.
* Be sure to clean up the floor in the house before going to bed, and take double care when the floor is wet...
* When getting up in the middle of the night, sit on the bed for 3-4  minutes, be sure to turn on the light first, and then get up.
* At least at night or even during the daytime (if feasible), please, please do not close the toilet door from the inside. If possible have an alarm bell fitted in the toilet, to press it to alarm family members in case of any emergency.
* Seniors must sit on a chair or a bed and wear pants.
* In the event of a fall, you must stretch out your hands to support the ground. It is better to fracture the forearm and wrist than to fracture the femoral neck at the hip joint.
* I strongly advocate exercise, at least walking, to the extent possible for you.
* Especially for women.. be very, very serious about keeping your weight within permissible limits... Diet control is the most important key... Eating leftovers is, a common behaviour of women... just get away from it... feed leftovers to stray cows... keeping your weight in control is absolutely in your hands and your mind, " always better to stop eating with half stomach full, rather than eat till have a satiety for having a full stomach.
* Regarding increasing bone mass, I also advocate dietary supplements (dairy products, soy products and seafood, especially small shrimp skins, which are high in calcium) rather than medicinal supplements.
* The other is to do outdoor activities properly because sun exposure (under UV light) converts the cholesterol in the skin into vitamin D.
* It is beneficial to promote intestinal absorption of calcium and osteoblast activity has the effect of delaying osteoporosis.
ELDERLY HEALTH CARE
* Summary After investigating more than 300 centenarians, I found astonishing data. Almost all centenarians, who have fallen will die within three months.
* A fall may not necessarily lead to a fracture, but the vibration and impact force of the fall will make the whole body function of the elderly in a state of disintegration, the meridians and collaterals are blocked, and they cannot become an organic whole to achieve self-balancing regulation, resulting in rapid failure of the functions of the viscera, and thus rapid death.
* Pay special attention to the non-slip of the bathroom. When going up the stairs, pay attention to the handrails and don't fall. Everyone, take care.
* Therefore, the elderly must pay attention to anti-skid and anti-fall.
* One fall will cost ten years of life. Because all the bones and muscles are destroyed. Surgery is useless, and conservative treatment is also a drag. So, be careful.
* Avoid standing for too long.
* This message may seem long it’s worth reading, especially for the senior citizens, the elderly and those taking care of them."

"George Müller is said to have read the Bible more than 200 times, many of which on his knees. Before his death, asked by a reporter what he would still like to do, he, on his knees, replied, "To read more of the Bible because I know too little about the excellence of Christ."
This was an Evangelical Christian, director of the Ashley Down orphanage in Bristol, England, where he cared for 10,024 orphans throughout his life based on God's promise found in Psalm 68:5 “God is a Father to the orphans them"
Known as a figure wholly involved in the education of the children he cared for, he was even accused of providing an education beyond the usual norm for those times. He founded 117 schools that offered Christian education to 120,000 children, many of them without parents.
He said, “If I, a poor man, can build and administer an orphanage without asking anyone for money or assistance, only through prayer and faith, this, together with the blessing of the Lord, could encourage God’s children in faith, being, also a powerful testimony to the unbelievers about existence of God. "
The famous writer Charles Dickens himself visited the parliaments of George Müller to see himself the treatment offered to children. Dickens was so impressed that he wrote articles for several newspapers, an advertisement money can’t buy.
Thus, even after the age of 70, Müller traveled intensely, reaching 42 countries, speaking even to White House authorities, sharing with others his rich experience with God.
On the day of Müller's funeral, the Bristol factories shut down. Thousands of people came to pay their last respects to the man who was transformed by God from a thief who betrayed his closest friends, to a man who put himself at God's disposal and raised the equivalent of 180 million dollars would through prayer and faith in Jesus.
Müller wrote of his conversion: “When I surrendered myself totally to God, the love of money was gone, the love of a home was gone, the affection of wealth was gone, the Love of worldly things was gone. God has become my everything I found everything in Him, there is nothing else I wanted. And I stayed with Him, a happy man, a very happy man, seeking to only accomplish the things of God. "
Many more lives have been transformed because of Müller's faith and courage. Even if he is no longer among us, the work initiated by him still exists, and Müller's message echoes today: "God is real, He is a God in whom you can trust!"
It is sufficient to trust in the living God, Müller said, and not worry about earthly things, for the beginning of worry is the end of faith; and the beginning of faith is the end of worry."-Randys777's post on X-platform (2024).

"In my final year in the University,
I got a call that I had an F in a 4 credit load course.
It had to be a joke,
I had never failed a course,
I rushed to school and checked.
After begging and begging
They brought my scripts out.
Two out of three questions were not marked.
My HOD told me that a prof had marked and graded me and so he could not review what a Professor had marked.
This meant an extra year.
This meant not going for NYSC  that year
I studied hard.
I played my part,
But they told me to go and register for another year,
In my moments of despair and confusion,
The Holyspirit said
“Use the Esther formula “.
Go on a three days fast,
And so I fasted for three days,
I woke up every night to pray,
I begged God and I cried.
I went back to school,
My Professor said there’s nothing we can do,
Well I started reading the course again to go and rewrite it.
I had prayed.
Nothing had happened and so I left it all to God.
Some weeks later, I heard they were going to write a test for that course.
I had travelled out of the state,
So I called my HOD to beg for the test,
When the HOD heard my name,
He said
“Why do you want to write the test”?
He said
“Last week, your scripts were brought out and remarked . You passed with flying colors”,
I have never been more shocked in my life,
For days I could not believe my ears,
This same HOD had told me to go and register the course,
My Professor told me to go and register the course again.
The Provost of the college of Medicine told me to go and register the course again,
But while men slept,
Yahweh was fighting for me
I had given up.
But God was working behind the scenes
He had the heart of kings in His hands.
Maybe you have prayed and it seems like all hope is lost,
Your prayers did not fall to the ground.
His word can never fail
I graduated with a fantastic Second class Upper.
I went to service when I should,
And God taught me the practical lesson of
“Who can say No when Jehovah has said YES”!!!!!
Don’t lose hope child of God,
God is still in the business of doing the impossible!"-Deborah Ocheido's post on X-platform (2023). Edited.
