Inspirational Quotes From Social Media, #142.

386.
I came across this post on X-platform today (30/12/2024), It should make us appreciate the good weather that God Almighty has given us in Nigeria. The temperature in Alaska, USA as at December 29, 2024 was -74 degree Fahrenheit. You can never realise what you have until you lose it! Thank God for a beautiful place like Nigeria.-Aderemi Adeleye.

"Adam and Eve lived in peace until Eve started taking control of the Garden and dictating to Adam what to eat and do. Learn from that. As a wife, your husband is the head of the home. The day you start challenging him and contesting that headship position with him is the day your home stops being a paradise, and you start being a parasite. It will affect everything, including lovemaking. Men look at combative women as fellow males. Making love to you will now look like a same-sex relationship, and unless he is inclined that way, he will lose interest. Don't be like Eve and destroy your Garden of Eden. Even if you earn more than him, still allow him to be the boss at home. You can be the boss at the office!"-Reno Omokri's post on X-platform (2024).

"A LETTER TO MY PEOPLE FROM AGES 50 - 65 YEARS."
"I left Nigeria thirty-five years
ago because I did not want to stress my mother by getting her to fund my university education. I thought she had suffered enough. So, I decided to travel abroad and fund my education myself. Children must have compassion for their parents.

I have worked very hard since I arrived in the UK. I have paid my dues through many toils and tears, and God has crowned my efforts with success.

Living abroad is good. It brings stability to one’s life. One may not be stupendously rich like I see in Nigeria every time I am here, but one will enjoy the basic amenities of life.

However, as one starts to age, there will be a need for one's home country. You may become isolated as your children start getting married. Your health may become complicated. You may become more and more lonely. The cold weather may become odious. That is when many people start having that nostalgic feeling.

Once you clock 50, start thinking of your home country more, no matter the negative stories you hear. Get accommodation in a place where you can live. Let security be your priority. If possible, get a reliable car. Open a bank account and build some connections with responsible people. Local connections are invaluable.

Travel regularly to know how the system works. Our people are more intelligent in the positive and the negative. Be smart and be secretive. Don’t talk about your plans and money before your people or strangers. You can be kidnapped by those you trusted for ransom, you can be robbed, and they can make you bankrupt through billing.

Without testing the waters, do not say you are relocating alone or with your family. Things are prohibitively expensive, and prices fluctuate.

Overall, there are many opportunities to succeed in this adventurous country. Despite the challenges, people make themselves happy. Some are also doing unbelievable things by making progress.

As someone who lives abroad, you have an advantage regarding the exchange rates. Use it well. Please do not leave it too late. Many who left it too late did not enjoy the latter part of their lives. May you enjoy yours.

Stop listening to the doomsday news. Nigeria will be better, but we all have a part to play.

"The top 60 companies holding #Bitcoin"

"Companies that have embraced a Bitcoin standard are likely to be among the top-performing stocks over the medium to long term. Take MicroStrategy, for example—the company with the largest Bitcoin holdings. This year alone, its stock has surged by approximately 400%, showcasing the potential upside of aligning with Bitcoin's growing adoption and value."-Tosin Badeniyi's post on X-platform (2024).

"How can we set our affections on things above (Colossians 3:1)  while excelling in every area of our lives here on earth? It might seem impossible, but with God, all things are indeed possible!"
"Here are some practical tips to help achieve this balance:
1. Prioritize Your Relationship with God. Begin your day with prayer and meditation on God’s Word. Let your faith and trust in Him guide your decisions, priorities, and actions throughout the day.
2. Live with Purpose- Understand that excelling in your earthly endeavors can be an act of worship. Use your talents, skills, and opportunities to glorify God and make a positive impact.
3. Maintain an Eternal Perspective- Keep in mind that your ultimate citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20). View your earthly achievements as temporary, and align your goals with values that reflect God’s eternal kingdom.
4. Commit to Excellence for God’s Glory. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as serving the Lord, not men (Colossians 3:23). This mindset helps you excel without becoming consumed by earthly success.
5. Guard Against Materialism. Pursue success with a heart that remains detached from material possessions. Trust God as your ultimate provider and keep Him above all else in your life.
6. Serve Others. Jesus came not to be served, but to serve. By focusing on loving and helping others, you reflect heavenly values even as you navigate earthly responsibilities.
7. Seek Balance and Discernment. While striving to excel, seek guidance through the Holy Spirit to prioritize what truly matters. Discern when to say “yes” or “no” to opportunities based on God’s plan for your life."-Tosin Badeniyi's post on X-platform (2024).

"I always talk about my background to give others hope. Growing up in Nigeria, my life was very rough and terrible. I thought it would improve when I got to the UK, but the hardship was too much.

"Learn the discipline of emotional suppression. You do not have to react to everything you perceive, or that happens to you. Internalise your feelings, especially when externalising them will not benefit you. You think crying in front of your enemies will elicit sympathy? How wrong you are. When a shark smells blood, it gets excited and goes for the kill. Your emotions are the tonic that strengthens your enemies. Deprive them of that vitality by reigning in your feelings."-Reno Omokri's post on X-platform (2024).

"You guys cannot know how joyful I am today for spending this Christmas in Nigeria with my wife and children.

I left this great country 35 years ago, not knowing what the future holds. I went there empty and came back whole. I have been back here several times, but not for Christmas. This is beautiful.

I pray for you with my whole heart; may the Lord who helped me help you.

I know you can’t see a way out, but God will make a way for you. You will succeed, grow, excel, be healed, and be delivered. The Lord will fight your battles.

In Jesus' name."-Dele Olawanle's post on X-platform (2024).

"I am proud that a Nigerian, Kemi Badenoch, a Member of Parliament and leader of His Majesty's Opposition, is the highest-ranking Black person in the United Kingdom. But Kemi still has a lot to learn in life.

Mrs. Badenoch should recall that when Anthony Joshua was arrested in 2011 on drug charges, the headline in ALL British papers was something like this, 'Nigerian Boxer Arrested With Drugs'. I urge her office to please fact-check me.

But when the very same Anthony Joshua won a gold medal in men's super heavyweight boxing at the 2012 London Olympics, the headline in British papers read 'British Boxer Wins Boxing Gold'.

Within a year, Mr. Joshua transformed from a Nigerian to a Briton. What a miracle!

The British media are celebrating Kemi because it is currently chic to do so. There is, after all, some novelty in the fact that she is the first Black person to hold such an exalted position. But she would do well to remember that she is only British and not English. And when she makes a mistake, as we all do, the British media will remember that she is Nigerian in their headline.

I urge Mrs. Badenoch to learn from Barack Obama. Kenya has the same teething challenges as Nigeria, and in many areas, Nigeria is far ahead of that East African country.

Yet, Mr. Obama never de-marketed or disassociated himself from Kenya. He visited Kenya, promoted her, and proudly spoke about his Kenyan heritage.

To paraphrase a popular proverb, 'success has many fathers, but failure has only one mother'.

Mrs. Badenoch may want to acquaint herself with the case of former British star footballer John Fashanu. When he was the darling of the football-loving Brits, he was called British, and he did not associate with Nigeria.

Then, scandal came, and the headlines changed from British footballer to Nigerian player. Today, Mr. Fashanu lives in Abuja. I hope and pray that the same fate will not happen to Kemi!"-Reno Omokri's post on X-platform (2024).

"I lost my car key last night at Landmark. I retraced all the places I had been, but no luck. I checked with the front desk and spoke to all the security personnel. Finally, I activated the Samsung SmartTag attached to the key and managed to trace it to a particular office.
There, I saw four security guards. They claimed they hadn’t seen the key. I just stood there, looking at them with a determined, no-nonsense expression. Suddenly, one of them asked me what type of car I owned. I told him, and he said he would be right back.
As he moved away, the tag’s signal strength increased to 100%. Moments later, he returned with my key, the same key that had been in his pocket all along. To confirm, I activated the tag’s beeping sound, and the guy looked utterly shocked upon hearing the sound.
I took my key and left, leaving him dumbfounded.

My question is: why didn’t he hand the key over to the front desk? Why didn’t he inform his colleagues?

Anyway, I was saved by a piece of technology the size of a coin. Without it, my car could have been ransacked or worse."-Abolaji Rasak's post on X-platform (2024).

"BEFORE YOU THREATEN YOUR BOSS OR YOUR EMPLOYER."

"A lot of fellow Nigerians are bringing Nigerian aggression to their workplaces and losing their jobs in droves.

I have seen many people dismissed recently. Most of them threatened their managers or employers with legal action over a minor incident.

Listen, many employers are not afraid. Some Employment Tribunals are pro-employers even though it is not made overtly clear.

Before you threaten your employer, ensure you are ready to leave the place. They will never let you go and look for opportunities to eliminate you. You can’t beat them.

You are a skilled worker on COS and probation with little or no rights, and you are harassing those who gave you the right to be in the country? Your wisdom is little.

In any case, why do we believe so much in threatening people? You will threaten your landlord, your doctors, your nurses, your lawyers, and your fellow colleagues at work. You are abusing your ‘freedom’ in a foreign territory. Let me warn you: No one is afraid of your threats. Litigation is costly, and there is no guarantee that you will win the case. You may also win £10000 and get just £1000 for contributing to your dismissal.

Make patience and wisdom a virtue. Stop your gragra😂. End!"-Dele Olawanle's post on X-platform (2024).

"Step By Step Guide To Investing in US Stocks From Nigeria"

"You can buy and sell US stocks from Nigeria and make a killing on the stock exchange. Investing in shares comes with risks, so take your time to study the market. Be driven by knowledge, not by greed. Greed based investment will bleed you, but knowledge based investment can elevate you. Often beyond your wildest imagination.

So how can you invest in US stocks from Nigeria? It is easy, and I will show you how it is done in six easy steps.

1.Create your account on investbamboo.com

2.Fund your wallet using NGN transfer/USD Domiciliary transfer or Barter. Note that funds might take 1-2 business days to appear in your account.

3.Search for the particular US stock you are interested in and navigate to the stock’s detail page. Tap Buy. Select your preferred buying option: Buy Now, Buy when price increases, or Buy when price decreases.

4.From the My Stocks section on the home page, select the stock you want to sell to navigate to the stock’s information page. Tap Sell and select your preferred sell option and Input your sell details.

5.Bamboo charges a 1.5% commission when you trade (buy and sell shares) on the U.S market. Other charges/fees are displayed on the review order page before orders are confirmed.

6.To withdraw. From your Bamboo app, navigate to your profile page and click the Withdraw button. Next, select the account option and fill in the necessary details.

I am not affiliated with Bamboo in any way, shape or form. This is just my love offering to my followers as an apostle of wealth creation. There are too many people living in poverty in a land that should be flowing with milk and honey, and I have taken it as a duty to enlighten people away from the darkness of poverty.

"Beware of a New Trick at Fuel Stations"

"Good evening, everyone.

I want to share a recent experience at a filling station to help you stay vigilant when buying fuel.

Yesterday, I stopped to purchase fuel worth ₦20,000. Fully aware of the common antics of some fuel attendants, I kept my eyes fixed on the fuel dispenser, even when they tried to distract me.

As the meter approached ₦16,500, something strange happened—the amount suddenly jumped to ₦20,000. I immediately pointed out that the sale was incomplete. The station manager intervened and instructed the attendant to press the "recall" button. To my surprise, the dispenser displayed the correct reading of ₦16,500. The manager then ensured the attendant dispensed the remaining fuel to make up the full ₦20,000.

This seems to be a new trick, so let’s all be cautious when buying fuel. Stay alert, and don’t hesitate to speak up if something feels off.

Stay safe!

God bless Nigeria.

"My Testimony: How Cryptocurrency Changed My Life"

"When I did my first video urging my social media followers to buy Bitcoin in 2021, Bitcoin was trading below $30,000. Please fact-check me. The video is still available on my YouTube channel.

Here on this platform, I received the greatest insult of my life that day. I had to turn off notifications when the abuse became too much. Today, Bitcoin is above $92,000. This is a coin that I bought at below $21,000.

I did not steal money when I worked with President Jonathan. That is why I could harass and torment Buhari without the EFCC coming after me. When you see me flying First Class and staying at Five Star hotels as I visit multiple countries in a month, it is because I invested all of the money from my Number One bestselling book, Facts Versus Fiction, the True Story of the Jonathan Years, into Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash.

I bought ten units of Bitcoin and multiple units of BCH and Ethereum.

When Bitcoin hit $50,000, I celebrated by travelling to Saint Lucia, where I stayed at the most expensive hotel in the Caribbean, Jade Mountain Resort, where this photo was taken. It costs a minimum of $2000 a night.

Then Twitter (now X) started a subscription service in 2022, and all my subscribers began making money. Now, I have the most paid subscribers of ANYBODY in Africa. Because I deliver productivity instead of activity.

Plus, Business Insider named me the Most Influential Entrepreneur of African origin on the Internet. I overwhelmingly and emphatically defeated the South African entrepreneur, Vusi Thembekwayo, who got so frustrated that he insulted me on social media. In a way, I was the first Chidinma Adetshina.

As I have often said, poverty and prosperity result from choices. It has nothing to do with village people or paying tithes. Becky Enenche lied. You do not return to square one if you do not pay tithes. Stop allowing these pulpit bandits like Paul and Becky Enenche to deceive you.

Only three things bring money. Work. Investments. And inheritance. Prayer and tithes do not bring money!

When you find the right chance and make the right choice, the result is the right outcome.

Listen, things will never get easier, and the cost of living is not ever going to reduce. You just have to get richer, or you will be pushed lower down the food chain to be eaten by mercantile pastors like the Enenches."-Reno Omokri's post on X-platform (2024).

"President Xi Jing Ping of China said:
As a small child , I was very selfish, always grabbing the best for myself.
Slowly, everyone left me and I had no friends. I didn’t think it was my fault and I criticized others.
But my father gave me 3 sentences to help me in life.
One day, my father cooked 2 bowls of noodles and  put them on the table. One had an egg on top while the other bowl had none on top.
Then he asked me to choose a bowl of noodles.
Because eggs were hard to come by those days, I chose the bowl with egg!
I was congratulating myself on my wise choice/decision and decided to wallop the egg. To my surprise, I saw that my father's bowl of noodles had two eggs at the bottom beneath the noodles!
With much regret, I scolded myself for being too hasty in my decision.
My father smiled and taught me to remember that  what your eyes see may not be true.
He added that, If you make a habit of taking advantage of people, you will end up losing.
The next day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles: one bowl with an egg on top and the other bowl with no egg on top.
Again, he asked to choose the bowl I wanted.
This time, I felt smarter so I chose the bowl without any egg on top.
Hmmmmmm to my surprise, there was not even a single egg at the bottom of the bowl!
Again, my father smiled and said to me, My child, you must not always rely on experiences because sometimes, life can cheat you or play tricks on you.
Never be too annoyed or sad, with situations, just treat experience as learning a lesson that  cannot be gotten  from any  textbooks.
The third day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles,  one bowl with an egg on top and the other with no egg on top.
He asked me to choose the bowl I wanted.
But  this time, I told my father, *Dad, you choose first. You are the head of the family and you contribute the most to the family.
My father was very happy and he chose for me.
He chose the bowl with one egg on top. But as I ate my bowl of noodles, to my surprise, there were two eggs at the bottom of the bowl.
My father smiled at me with love in his eyes. He said, my child, you must remember that when you think for the good of others, good things will always naturally happen to you.
I always remember these 3 sentences of my father.
Xi Jing Ping
As we continue on the remaining journey of 2024, think for the good of others. Don't be selfish, Put others first and your joy will be completed.  Don't run after post, position, wealth, fame etc and bruise others to get it.  God  Bless you as you wish others well.
Share this and transform someone."-Anonymous author.
